Frank Cornell

President

Frank is a graduate of California State University, Fresno, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Frank is the founder of Construction Developers, Inc.; his firm specializes in Retail, National Client, Educational, Commercial, Medical, Industrial, and Institutional Construction projects. Frank has over thirty-two years experience in the Construction industry and is a member of the Associated Builders and Contractors and actively participates in the Construction Industries Crime Prevention Program.

Joseph Troncoso Jr.

Treasurer/CFO

Joe is a graduate of California State University, Fresno, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting / Business Administration. Joe has twenty-eight years experience in financial management accounting in the Construction Industry.  Joe is directly responsible for the supervision of the accounting staff including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and interfacing, with the Project Managers on job costing procedures. He is also responsible for collections and the preparation of corporate financial statements.

Chad Story

Chief Estimator

Chad is a graduate of California State University, Fresno with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management. Chad has also studied architecture while attending Fresno City College and Arizona State University.  Chad has sixteen years of experience in construction as our CDI Chief Estimator, Project Manager, Superintendent and Project Engineer. While working as Chief estimator, Chad worked on projects with budgets up to $30 Million dollars and has worked for multiple firms performing plus $75 Million in annual sales.

Casey Stephens

General Superintendent/Project Manager

Casey has over thirty five years experience in construction as a Project Manager, Superintendent, Estimator and carpenter. Casey has spent the last twenty plus years with CDI.  Casey has built Industrial and Waste Reduction Facilities, Retail Centers, Power Centers, Big Box Stores, Restaurants, Medical, Residential and various types of Tenant Improvements projects for both National brands and local entrepreneurs.  Casey lead the charge building all the various Gottschalks Department stores, for CDI,  in seven States.  Most recently Casey acted as both PM and Superintendent on the new Future Ford of Clovis dealership project.

Stan Dobbs

Project Manager

Stan is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a Bachelors of Science in Construction Management.  Stan was VP of Construction and Design for Gottschalks Stores for eighteen years covering the (7) Western States, and for Dillard’s Department Stores for fourteen years. Stan has over thirty-eight years of experience in construction as a Construction Manager, Project Manager, Field Superintendent, tradesman, electrician, and carpenter. Stan has worked in various construction types including Steel Buildings, Concrete Tilt-Up and most recently Monolithic Dome construction.

Eric Tienken

Vice President

Eric is a commercial construction executive, developer & general contractor with over 28 years of experience in private & public construction, development, land planning, entitlements, project design, contract negotiations, construction management, marketing & business development.  Eric focuses on long term client partnerships and strengthening relationships with developers, land owners & National brands. Actively developing commercial construction and project management projects in the Retail, Restaurant, Medical, Professional, Religious & Industrial categories.

Gary Elias

Superintendent

Gary has over twenty years of experience in construction as a Field Superintendent and carpenter. Gary has experience building Retail Centers, Power Centers, National Client, Big Box Stores, Restaurants, Industrial, Medical and Residential as well as various types of Tenant Improvement projects. Gary continues to further his knowledge of the construction industry by completed courses in the construction field and OSHA requirements. Gary has built more Family Dollar stores than any other superintendent at CDI.

Steve McEntire

Superintendent

Steve has over twenty-five years of experience in construction as a Field Superintendent, tradesman, and carpenter. Steve has experience building Retail Centers, Power Centers, National Client, Big Box Stores, Restaurants, Industrial, Medical, Residential and various types of Tenant Improvements projects. In recent years Steve has been building single tenant National retail buildings for such clients as CVS, Rite Aid, Tractor Supply Co., Family Dollar and others.

Bill Elias

Superintendent 

Bill has been in the construction trades since 1973, with 20+ years in framing, roofing, HVAC & concrete.  Commercially Bill spent over 10 years in dairy, Ag and winery construction and another 10 years in commercial kitchen design & fabrication. As superintendent for CDI, Bill leverages his past experience, everyday, in managing retail projects such as O’Reilly Auto Parts, Family Dollar and Fashion Fair Mall Food Court Expansion.

Vincent Valenzuela

Superintendent

Vince is a native New Yorker – graduate of General Society of Mechanics & Tradesmen from New York City, with a degree in Construction Project Management. Vince has over fifteen years’ experience in Project Management, Field Supervision, Estimating and Carpentry.  Vince has experience in Historical Restoration and building Retail Centers with National retail clients and various types of Tenant Improvements.  In recent years Vince has been involved in building for such clients as Bayer Corp Science, Rite Aid, Family Dollar and others.

Johnny Herrin

Project Engineer

Johnny joined the CDI family with 11 years of construction experience in extensive residential remodeling; including custom kitchens, baths and room additions.  After 4 years with a regional commercial solar firm CDI recruited Johnny as a project engineer.  He has the singular distinction of building California’s first monolithic dome building for a school district in Ahwahnee California.

Pam Stephens

Contract Administrator

Pam oversees warranty collection and packaging of close-out documentation for completed projects.  Pam assists with estimating and project production by drafting and distributing contract documentation. Additionally Pam oversees special projects and event coordination for owner/founder  Frank Cornell.

Barbara Johnson

Office/Accounting Manager

Barbara is director of our accounting staff and the office manager for CDI. Barbara runs payroll for the 35+ employees and oversees accounts payable,  job-costing and record keeping. Additionally, oversight of our compliance officers and contract administrators is part of Barbara’s management roll.

Mindy Timmings

Compliance Officer

Mindy is the first smiling face you see or voice you hear when entering or calling CDI. She is a licensed real estate agent with a BA in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz and a MA in Organizational Behavior – As compliance officer, Mindy oversees subcontractor licensing, insurance, lien waiver management and other various project compliance issues.
